The Lanierland Amateur Radio Club, Inc. is based in Gainesville, Hall County, Georgia. It covers the Lanierland and NE Georgia Area. The Club stands ready to serve the community in times of disaster or other needs.
Lanierland Amateur Radio Club was organized in the late 50's and was called the Lanierland VHF Society. Its name was changed to Lanierland Amateur Radio Club in the 60's and has been known as "LARC" ever since.
The Club call "W4ABP" is the call sign of one of the founders and Charter Members of LARC, Howard "BO" Collins, W4ABP, SK of Gainesville.
The Club is a public service club and supports all types of public service, especially assisting other agencies providing services in times of disaster. We are affiliated with the American Radio Relay League (ARRL). We also support and are members of the Southeastern Repeater Association.
The club is governed by a set of By-Laws which are administered by officers who are elected by the membership. Club meetings are held the last Tuesday of each month at a place designated by the President. Please check out our calendar to see the location of our next meeting.
